Since 2011, Citadel has played a key role in the adaptive reuse of the Old Post Office, starting with the Historic Structure Report. From June 2014, Citadel has overseen on-site construction, ensuring strict compliance with tax credit regulations. Collaborating closely with the GSA, Lend Lease, Trump Group, subcontractors, consultants, and the National Park Service, Citadel’s on-site team preserves the building’s historic character while delivering a modern hotel experience, recognized for proactive solutions and seamless teamwork.
